How to
-
Mix the ground beef with the French onion soup mix or onion seasoning until the seasoning is evenly divided through the meat.
-
Shape the beef into two large flat patties.
-
Fill one patty with French cheese, then place the second patty over the top. Seal the edges carefully so the cheese is completely wrapped inside the beef, forming one large stuffed burger.
-
Season the outside with PitmasterX Beef Seasoning.
-
Fire up the smoker and set it to 120°C / 250°F.
-
Place the burger on the rack and smoke it until the core temperature reaches 65°C / 150°F. Add the cheddar slices on top and let them melt.
-
Toast the burger bun if desired, then add BBQ sauce to the bottom bun.
-
Place the smoked stuffed burger on top, add more BBQ sauce, finish with crispy fried onions, and close the burger with the top bun.
-
Slice it open to reveal the melted cheese center, then serve immediately.
