How to

  1. Preheat your BBQ to high direct heat.
  2. In a bowl, season the ground chicken with PitmasterX Chicken Seasoning and loosely form it into a ball.
  3. Place a cast-iron skillet on the BBQ and let it preheat. Once hot, place the chicken ball into the skillet and smash it flat using a spatula to form a thin patty.
  4. Cook the patty for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 75°C / 165°F.
  5. While the burger cooks, mix the yogurt, mustard, BBQ seasoning, and sugar-free ketchup in a small bowl to create the low-calorie sauce.
  6. Build your burger using large lettuce leaves as the bun: start with a lettuce leaf, add a layer of sauce, place the cooked chicken smash burger on top, followed by tomato slices and red onion rings, add another dollop of sauce, and finish with a second lettuce leaf.
  7. For extra volume and flavor, optionally add grilled mushrooms or a pinch of chili powder to the sauce.
