Bacon Jam
500 gr / 1 lb bacon strips
5 small red onions
- 4 tbsp Deli seasoning
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
120 gr / 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
Bacon Jam Pies
1 large sheet of puff pastry
1 tbsp melted butter
150 gr / 1/3 lb 50/50 minced meat
- 1 tbsp Deli seasoning

How to
- Start by preparing the bacon jam.
- Cook 500 grams of bacon strips until crispy, then remove and chop finely.
- In the same pan, sauté finely chopped red onions until translucent.
- Return the bacon to the pan, adding deli seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Simmer until it thickens into a jam. Set aside to cool.
- For the pies, preheat your barbecue to 180°C or 360°F.
- Take a large sheet of puff pastry and brush it with melted butter.
- Pre-bake the puff pastry for 5 minutes.
- Mix 150 grams of minced meat with Deli seasoning.
- Form a small ball of the seasoned minced meat and place it on the pre-baked pastry, then top it with the bacon jam.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes. Enjoy your bacon jam pies warm!
