How to
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with PitmasterX Chicken rub, buttermilk, and pickle juice.
- Mix well to ensure all wings are coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Prepare PitmasterX's Sweet Apple BBQ sauce, adding a few drops of Frank's Red Hot Original sauce for extra flavor.
- Preheat the barbecue to high heat.
- Remove the chicken wings from the refrigerator and let excess moisture drip off. Sprinkle a light layer of PitmasterX Texas BBQ rub over the wings.
- Grease the barbecue grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the chicken wings on the barbecue and lower the heat. Cover and cook for about 25 minutes, turning halfway through, until they reach an internal temperature of 92°C or 198°F.
- Transfer the cooked wings to a large bowl and drizzle with the homemade BBQ sauce. Toss to coat evenly, then cover the bowl with aluminum foil and let rest.
- Meanwhile, prepare the Blue Cheese Dip by mixing mayonnaise, heavy cream, black pepper, chives, and crumbled blue cheese in a bowl until well combined.
- Arrange the chicken wings on a serving platter and serve with the Blue Cheese Dip on the side. For an extra kick, drizzle with more Frank's Red Hot Original sauce if desired.
- Enjoy your delicious Blue Cheese Buffalo Wings with friends and family!
