Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp beef tallow

  • 500 gr or 1 lbs ground beef

  • 1 yellow onion

  • 1 bell pepper

  • 2 cloves clove garlic

  • 3 tbsp tomato paste

  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard

  • 2 tbsp barbecue sauce

  • 1 tbsp worchestshiresauce

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp PitmasterX Texas BBQ rub
  • 100 gram or 3.5 oz. young Gouda cheese

  • to taste pickled jalapenos

How to

  1. Heat a pan and melt 4 tablespoons of beef tallow. 
  2. Brown 500 grams of ground beef.
  3. Dice an onion, bell pepper and garlic, and sauté them with the ground beef.
  4. Add 3 tablespoons of tomato paste, 3 tablespoons of yellow mustard, 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of PitmasterX Texas BBQ rub
  5. Let the mixture simmer gently for 10 minutes.
  6. Grate 100 grams of young cheese and melt it into the ground beef.
  7. Serve the Sloppy Joe on a white bun, topped with pickled jalapeños for an extra kick.
