4 burger patties (approx. 150 g / 5.3 oz each)
- 1 tbsp burger seasoning
4 slices cheese
2 burger buns
Lettuce leaves
Pickled onions

3 tbsp / 45 ml ketchup
1 tbsp / 12 g brown sugar
1 tsp / 5 ml lemon juice
1 tbsp / 15 ml ketjap manis (sweet soy sauce)
1 tsp / 5 ml Worcestershire sauce

How to
- Preheat your BBQ or smoker to 120°C / 250°F for indirect cooking.
- Season the burger patties evenly with burger seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place the burgers on the smoker and cook for about 30 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 52°C / 125°F.
- Place a slice of cheese on each burger and let them smoke for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by mixing the BBQ sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, lemon juice, ketjap manis, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl until smooth.
- Build the burger by starting with the bottom bun, add a little sauce, lettuce, the first cheeseburger, another spoon of sauce, the second burger, more sauce, pickled onions, and finish with the top bun.
- Serve immediately while hot and juicy.
