Bruschetta

This classic bruschetta recipe combines ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, and a hint of garlic on crispy grilled bread. Perfect as an appetizer or snack, it's simple, vibrant, and full of flavor. Add a sprinkle of parmesan for an extra punch!

Ingredients

  • 2 medium tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp quality vinegar

  • 1/2 tsp PitmasterX Texas Beef seasoning
  • fresh basil leaves (about 6–8 leaves)

  • 4 slices of ciabatta or rustic bread

  • 1 clove garlic

  • Optional: grated parmesan cheese

How to

  1. Start by finely dicing the ripe tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a bowl.
  2. Add 5 ml (1 tsp) olive oil, a few drops (about 5 ml / 1 tsp) of good quality vinegar, and lightly season with the PitmasterX Texas seasoning—just enough to enhance, not overpower.
  3. Finely slice the fresh basil leaves and mix them gently into the tomatoes.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust if necessary.
  5. Slice the ciabatta into pieces about 1.5 cm (½ inch) thick.
  6. Drizzle each slice with a little olive oil on one side and place them oil-side down on a preheated grill.
  7. Grill until crispy and golden—this happens quickly, so stay close.
  8. While the bread is still warm, cut a garlic clove in half and rub the cut side over the toasted surface.
