Ingredients

Boemboe

  • 1 tbsp arachide oil

  • 12 shallots

  • thumb size ginger

  • 1 kurkuma

  • 4 cloves of garlic

  • 7 rawit peppers

  • 1 tsp tarasi

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 5 cloves

peanut sauce

  • 1 tbsp arachide oil

  • 1 cup of peanuts

  • 1/2 cup of cashew nuts

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

  • to taste salt

How to

Make the boemboe

  1. Chop the shallots, ginger, kurkuma, garlic and rawit peppers.
  2. Sauté them in a pan with a bit of arachide oil. 
  3. Add tarasi, a cinnamon stick, cloves and fry.
  4. Once done, divide into 2 bowls.

Peanut sauce

  1. In arachide oil, roast the peanuts and cashew nuts.
  2. Add half of the boemboe.
  3. Once fragrant, let it cool before processing in a food processor.
  4. Add coconut milk, ketjap manis, water, and salt and grind them into a smooth sauce.

Use the other half of the boemboe to create Konro Bakar Ribs!
