  • 500 gram or 1 lbs ground beef

  • 250 gram or 0.5 lbs Young Gouda Cheese

  • 4 hamburger buns

  • Butter for grilling

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 4 pickles

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 2 tbsp mustard

How to

  1. Preheat your BBQ to 140°C or 280°F.
  2. Shape the ground beef into patties using a hamburger press.
  3. Create cheese patties by forming them with grated cheese.
  4. Combine the beef and cheese patties by placing a beef patty on the bottom, followed by a cheese patty, and another beef patty on top.
  5. Place the hamburger buns on a grill or flat top griddle spread with butter.
  6. Grill the patties for a few minutes on each side until cooked to your preference, ensuring the cheese melts inside.
  7. While grilling, prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard together.
  8. Slice pickles for topping.
  9. To assemble the burgers, spread sauce on the bottom half of each bun, place a beef cheese patty on top, add a drizzle of sauce, some pickle slices, and cover with the top half of the bun.
  10. Wrap each burger in baking paper for a handheld delight.
