Ingredients
For the Apple BBQ Sauce
125 ml / 1/2 cup apple syrup
125 ml / 1/2 cup ketchup
50 ml / 3 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp PitmasterX classic seasoning
For the chicken
3 chicken thighs
- 3 tbsp PitmasterX classic seasoning
3 slices bacon

How to
- In a small bowl, mix the apple syrup, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and PitmasterX classic seasoning until smooth and fully combined. Set the apple BBQ sauce aside.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towel and season them thoroughly on all sides with PitmasterX Classic Seasoning.
- Wrap each thigh tightly with a slice of bacon, securing the ends underneath the thigh if needed.
- Fire up your grill and set it to smoke at 180°C / 356°F. Place the chicken thighs on the indirect side of the grill and close the lid.
- Smoke the chicken for approximately 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C / 167°F and the bacon is golden and crispy.
- Once cooked, dip or brush the chicken thighs generously with the apple BBQ sauce. Let them rest a few minutes before serving. Enjoy the crispy, juicy, and sweet BBQ goodness!
