Homemade Bamischijf

Ingredients
 

  • 500 grams mie noodles
  • 2 cubes of dried chicken stock
  • 3 tbsp bami spicemix
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 leek chopped
  • 150 grams ham chopped

Breading station

  • 500 grams all purpose flour
  • 12 eggs
  • 500 grams panko breadcrumb
  • 2 liter sun flower oil frying oil

Instructions
 

  • Boil 2 liter of water and add 2 cubes of chicken stock.
  • Cook your mie noodles in the water.
  • Heat up a pan with 3 tbsp of sunflower oil and add your bami spicemix.
  • Fry your herbs untill light brown.
  • Add the fine chopped leek and ham to the spice mix and fry untill the leek turns soft.
  • Add the cooked mie noodles and stir fry for 5 minutes.
  • Let the noodles cool down for 10 minutes.
  • Shape the noodles into 6 flat discs with your hands on a sheet of baking paper.
  • Put the discs in the freezer for at least 2 hours.

Breading station

  • Heat up 2 liters of sunflower oil to 180°C/350°F
  • Grab 3 aluminium trays and fill with flour, beaten egg and panko breadcrumb
  • Once the oil is hot grab a disc of mie noodles and put on a light coat of flour. Cover it in the egg and dip it in the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Carefully place them in the hot frying oil and let them fry untill they turn goldenbrown at around 7 minutes.
