easy dry rub and sauce for pork ribs

Sometimes you just need a basic dry rub and sauce combination for spareribs that always work. You can make this in advance and store it in a container for every weekend barbecue.

the dry rub has a shelf life of 4 weeks, provided it is kept cool and dark.
The sauce you can keep good in the fridge for 8 to 10 days but generally, it will be gone within a few days.

  • 1 part fine salt
  • 1 part paprika powder
  • 1/8 part garlic
  • ¼ part onion powder

How to

  1. Sprinkle on the rub and smoke the ribs as you see in the video.
  2. The last couple of minutes you brush on the sauce and let it thicken so it gets a bit sticky.
