We needed a flavored mayonnaise to grill a wagyu steak with. That’s what we do. We tried a few different kinds of mayonnaise and this was clearly the winner.
Just brush the mayonnaise on your steak and sear it to perfection. If you want you can put extra bbq rub mayo on the table to dip.
- 1/2 a cup of Japanese Mayonnaise
For the dry rub
- 2 1/2 tbsp of sweet paprika
- 1 1/2 tbsp fleur de sel
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp of dried basil
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper
- Mix the mayonnaise with one tbsp of the dry rub. That’s it.
